Puisque Violaine nous a offert une vidéo de Fanny Power, de nouveau un immense merci pour ces vidéos et partitions, j'ai recopié ici les paroles de Fanny Power (en traduction anglaise) : il s'agit de 2 couplets. qui demandent une interprétation AB AB en version chantée, et qui ne permettent pas l'interprétation AABB AABB qui prend par contre tout son charme en version instrumentale, telle que partagée par Violaine.

Cela ne se chante pas facilement en anglais, même sur une version lente du morceau. La langue anglaise est trop "germano-cromwellienne" pour restituer la délicatesse, la subtilité et la beauté du chant (et apparemment de Fanny). L'interprétation du disque est en gaélique, et elle est chantée sous la forme AB AB.

C'est la seule version chantée que je connaisse de ce titre. Les autres versions sont toutes instrumentales, généralement AB AB avant 1980 puis majoritairement AABB AABB après 1990. Les mêmes musiciens jouent AB AB avec Sean O'Riada en 1970, mais optent pour une version AABB AABB 30 ans plus tard.
